Has anyone used Obsidian on top of non-markdown files? I was looking for a docx file at work the other day and it took my an annoying amount of time to find it.
If it was in Obsidian I could organize it with metadata and find it based on how I build my vault for retrieval. My main concern, if I could get it to work, is it impacting obsidian's index. Maybe there's a better Windows solution.

  • Leif on 🐘 : @techlifeweb i haven't tried it but it seems this plugin gives you a readonly view into docx files in the vault. https://github.com/qianwei4712/obsidian-word-reader GitHub - qianwei4712/obsidian-word-reader: Office Reader 是一个 Obsidian 桌面端插件,可在 Obsidian 内本地、安全地只读打开 .docx 和 .pptx 文件,并保持原文件不变。
