I found an interesting Obsidian plugin called Tray. Tray lets you start the app automatically when your system boots up and run it in the background. It adds global hotkeys and a tray menu so you can easily hide/show the window and jot down quick notes from anywhere on your computer.
You can find it on the Community Plugins page obsidian://show-plugin?id=tray. Here is the GitHub link for more information as well. GitHub github.com/dragonwocky/obsidia

TIL about "Brushing" Scams. Got a package you didn’t order? It’s probably a scam | Consumer Advice consumer.ftc.gov/consumer-aler 'Scammers or sellers of knock-off merchandise find your address or other personal information online. They send you goods you never ordered and use your information to write fake online reviews about their products in your name — which helps them boost sales.'

Rating Scale

I quite like Steph Ango's system of rating 1 to 7 so I'm adopting it. It is more granular than 1 to 5 and 1 to 10 is too many.

  • 7 — Perfect, must try, life-changing, go out of your way to seek this out
  • 6 — Excellent, worth repeating
  • 5 — Good, don’t go out of your way, but enjoyable
  • 4 — Passable, works in a pinch
  • 3 — Bad, don’t do this if you can
  • 2 — Atrocious, actively avoid, repulsive
  • 1 — Evil, life-changing in a bad way
