The Rhode Island Computer Museum has a good story about getting calls from someone wanting to buy one of their museum piece computers. They're like, "Naw; we're good." The calls got more frantic.

Turns out a nuclear power plant in Europe was still using the same system, and it was failing.

They came to an agreement: You can borrow it, until you upgrade to modern equipment. And then return it.

And that's what they did.
