"Anyone use #Obsidian tasks for keeping track of things assigned to other people? Using Tasks plugin or Dataview it's easy to get them all together but how would you keep track of who is doing what because they'd jumble in with your own tasks. I guess you could develop a naming convention like "[ ] Name: Task Assigned". If anyone has insights, I'd be interested to hear. @obsidianmd"

  • Colman Reilly on 🐘 : @techlifeweb @obsidianmd I think I’d tag them as delegated and use the at symbol plugin to link to person pages. I’d then exclude tasks tagged delegated from my task list. So a delegated task looks like: “- [ ] Do important thing # delegated @person “ And the persons page would have a list of tasks delegated to them.
  • Scott Kingery on 🐘 : @Colman @obsidianmd Thanks! I didn't know about the at symbol plugin, I'll check that out.
  • Quantum Gardener on 🌐 : @techlifeweb @obsidianmd I tag with with (hashtag)wf [[name]] what and date asked for and date due I make use of Dataview plugin to filter on tag, who, dates. One day I may get around to posting how.
  • Aeases on 🐘 : @techlifeweb @obsidianmd cant stop you, but this just ain’t what obsidian is meant for, it’s gonna be jank your interpreting markdown as something other than text.
  • kator ⛺️???? on 🌐 : @techlifeweb i am using a inline field - [ ] task [assignee:: [[person]]] due bla
  • kator ⛺️???? on 🌐 : @techlifeweb so soy can create filters pretty easily
  • shrike on 🌐 : @techlifeweb @obsidianmd I'm using the tasks plugin and "- [>] [[person]] task" For me this works quite well
