What constitutes a successful Minor League Baseball season? It depends on who you ask.
Those who work in Minor League front offices have no control over the product on the field (that aspect is handled by the parent Major League club), so their goal is to get people out to the ballpark regardless of what happens between the white lines. The more tickets scanned, the more successful the season.
With the 2026 regular season now in the books, it's time for a league-by-league look at Minor League Baseball's attendance champions. From April through September, these are the teams that really packed 'em in.

TRIPLE-A
Lehigh Valley IronPigs (PHI)
Attendance: 559,602 (7,772 avg.)
The IronPigs, located approximately 60 miles from Philadelphia, debuted in 2008. Their pun-heavy, pork-centric approach has always resonated, as 2026 marked the 10th time they've led the Minors in total attendance. The IronPigs' Coca-Cola Park will be known as Jefferson Park beginning next season, but don't expect their dominance at the gate to fizzle out. They were one of three International League teams to surpass the 500,000 mark this season, along with the Indianapolis Indians (555,657) and Columbus Clippers (511,810).
Albuquerque Isotopes (COL)
Attendance: 502,073 (6,785 avg.)
The Isotopes have a Simpsons-inspired name, serve up green chile cheeseburgers and draw huge crowds while playing as the Mariachis. It's a formula for sustained success, as 2026 is the third consecutive season that the Isotopes have led the PCL in both average and total attendance at Isotopes Park. The El Paso Chihuahuas (466,206) and Las Vegas Aviators (459,069) round out this year’s top three.
DOUBLE-A
Eastern League
Richmond Flying Squirrels (SF)
Attendance: 468,961 (7,105 avg.)
The Flying Squirrels led the league – and all of Double-A – for the fifth straight year. What else is new? Well, the team’s ballpark, for one. CarMax Park finally debuted this season, replacing The Diamond, and a franchise-record 468,961 fans stopped by to check it out. This was the highest total in the Eastern League since the Reading Phillies drew 469,105 in 2005. Reading ranked second this season (third in per-game average), running neck and neck with the Hartford Yard Goats.
Southern League
Chattanooga Lookouts (CIN)
Attendance: 336,312 (5,020 average)
For the second straight year the Southern League attendance crown went to a team that opened a new ballpark. In 2025, that was the Knoxville Smokies; this year it was the Chattanooga Lookouts. They now reside in Erlanger Park, the architecturally stunning centerpiece of a repurposed industrial area. The new digs, which feature views of the mountain for which the Lookouts are named, resulted in a 76 percent attendance increase for the Lookouts.
Texas League
Frisco RoughRiders (TEX)
Attendance: 358,699 (5,435 average)
Since their 2003 debut, the RoughRiders have been at or near the top of the Texas League attendance leaderboard. This is the perhaps inevitable result of playing in a stellar ballpark (with its own Lazy River) situated within the sprawling Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan era. The RoughRiders’ July 4 crowd of 12,198 at Riders Ballpark was the largest in franchise history.
HIGH-A
**Midwest League
**
Dayton Dragons (CIN)
Attendance: 511,123 (7,863 average)
The Dragons didn't just lead the Midwest League in attendance. They led Minor League Baseball in per-game average and were the only team below Triple-A to surpass the 500,000 milestone. They've been a success story from the start, having sold out every game they've played at Day Air Ballpark since their inaugural 2000 season. That sellout streak, by far the longest in professional sports history, has now surpassed 1,700 games.
**Northwest League
**
Vancouver Canadians (TOR)
Attendance: 276,766 (4,324 average)
The Canadians are the only team to both win a league championship and lead the league in attendance in 2026. They are also, of course, the only Minor League Baseball team in Canada. They play at charming Nat Bailey Stadium, which opened in 1951 and is now tied for the 10th oldest in Minor League Baseball. It's a cozy environment, where the cheers of a passionate big city fan base echo throughout the covered grandstand. Make sure you're in your seat for the between-inning Sushi Mascot race.
South Atlantic League
Greenville Drive (BOS)
Attendance: 305,320 (4,697 average)
Red Sox Nation extends to South Carolina, as Greenville's Fluor Field is a mini-Fenway Park. The Drive thrive in this downtown facility, drawing over 300,000 fans every season since it opened in 2006 (save for the COVID-affected 2021 campaign). 2026 marks the seventh consecutive season that Greenville has led the South Atlantic League in attendance. Try to get seats atop the Green Monster in left field.
SINGLE-A
**California League
**
Fresno Grizzlies (COL)
Attendance: 272,875 (4,198 average)
The Grizzlies were a Triple-A team through 2020, and they're still capable of drawing Triple-A-sized crowds to downtown Chukchansi Park (home of the annual Taco Truck Throwdown). The Grizzlies have led the California League in attendance for six consecutive years, but this season it wasn't a runaway. The Ontario Tower Buzzers, playing their inaugural season at ONT Field, drew 268,149 fans for an average of 4,063 per game.
Carolina League
Charleston RiverDogs **(TB)**Attendance: 266,343 (4,162 average)
The RiverDogs always strive to create an entertaining ballpark experience, with promotional highlights this season including a renaissance fair, a haunted house, an alternate identity based around Budweiser's Clydesdale horses and a recurring 50-cent hot dog special. It's a formula that works, as 2026 was the fourth straight year that the RiverDogs have led the Carolina League in attendance. A pair of insect entities -- the Augusta GreenJackets and Columbia Fireflies -- can be seen buzzing close behind them in the rearview mirror.
Florida State League
Clearwater Threshers **(PHI)**Attendance:163,435 (2,594 average)
The Florida State League, largely comprised of teams who play in Grapefruit League Spring Training facilities, has long been a tough draw. Rain delays are plentiful and it's hard to compete with the area's beaches and amusement parks. The Clearwater Threshers have found a way to excel in this environment, offering a party-like atmosphere at BayCare Ballpark. They've led the FSL in attendance for over two decades and show no signs of slowing down.
