Need To Know
Iran Deal Reached
The US and Iran have agreed to extend their ceasefire by 60 days, President Donald Trump and mediators revealed yesterday. The countries are scheduled to sign a deal Friday in Switzerland. Oil prices fell on the news.
Iran has agreed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to all commercial vessels "toll-free," Trump says, and the US will end its naval blockade on Iranian ports. The ceasefire is also predicated on an end to the conflict in Lebanon, where Israel has been fighting the Iranian-backed Hezbollah. Details surrounding Iran’s nuclear program—including the fate of its stockpile of enriched uranium—are slated to be discussed after the deal is signed. The full text was not publicly available as of this writing.
The agreement was announced hours before Trump traveled to France for this year's G7 summit. In addition to the US war with Iran, the countries will discuss multilateral trade, among other issues. Learn more about the G7 here.

Knicks End Title Drought
The New York Knicks won the NBA championship Saturday night, rallying from a 16-point deficit to beat the San Antonio Spurs 94-90, ending the series in five games. It ends a 53-year title drought for the Knicks, the sixth-most valuable sports brand (about $9.8B), and marks the third title in franchise history.
The win caps a dominant playoff run, with New York winning 15 of its last 16 games. It will also be remembered as one of the most clutch postseason performances—the Knicks were 6-2 in games where they trailed by double digits, including a historic 29-point comeback in Game 4 against the Spurs (rewatch the final minutes). Star guard Jalen Brunson, who scored 45 points in 41 minutes Saturday, was named Finals MVP.
Celebrations turned to chaos outside Madison Square Garden, as unruly fans ran through the streets and reportedly set five school buses on fire, with more than 60 people arrested.

Mythos Shut Down
Anthropic shut down its latest Fable 5 and Mythos 5 AI models Friday night. The company said it did so to comply with a government order barring foreign nationals from accessing the models.
Anthropic first shared Mythos with over 40 technology companies in April (see previous write-up). The goal was to help organizations overseeing critical computer infrastructure—including Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft—to identify bugs in their systems. Mythos uncovered thousands of severe or critical vulnerabilities within weeks, and Anthropic said it would not roll out the model publicly to prevent hackers from gaining access to it.
However, the company has since given Mythos to more than 150 other organizations. Last week, it publicly released Fable, a version of Mythos with added safeguards. Since then, Amazon has reportedly flagged to the White House an instance in which someone was able to sidestep Fable’s safeguards.

Unknown Number Calling? It’s Not Random
The BBC caught scam call center workers on hidden cameras as they laughed at the people they were tricking. One worker bragged about making $250k from victims. The disturbing truth? Scammers don’t pick phone numbers at random. They buy your data from brokers.
Once your data is out there, it’s not just calls. It’s phishing, impersonation, and identity theft. That’s why we recommend Incogni: They delete your info from the web, monitor and follow up automatically, and continue to erase data as new risks appear.
