Earlier this month 2 hot fixes were made available by Microsoft for Windows Vista.

KB938194 – This update resolves some compatibility issues and reliability issues in Windows Vista. By applying this update, you can achieve better reliability and hardware compatibility in various scenarios.

KB938979 – By applying this update, you can achieve better performance and responsiveness in various scenarios. This update also improves the reliability of Windows Vista.

Both of these are now part of Windows Update. Last night my PC auto downloaded the first one. I noticed the second one didn’t come down so I checked. Windows Update had it marked as recommended. Not sure why it didn’t just come down with the rest but I did the manual update.

These are important updates for Vista that help improve stability and responsiveness. I recommend both of them.
